Private Explorer Expedition
The classic introduction to the Sundarbans — a private 3-day journey through the tidal rivers, mangrove forests and island landscapes of the living delta. Explore the delta. Follow the tides. Discover the wild.
The Wild Orbit
The Expedition
We don’t sell tours; we offer an experience of how the Sundarban should be explored.
A private introduction to the essential landscapes of the Indian Sundarbans — tidal rivers, mangrove forests, island communities and wildlife habitats. You explore four landscapes in one living delta: the mangrove forests around Sajnekhali, Sudhanyakhali and Pirkhali; the tidal rivers of the Matla, Bidya and Gomor; the island landscapes of Gosaba, Dayapur and Pakhiralay; and the wildlife habitats along forest edges, creeks and mudflats.
This is not a checklist tour. It is an introduction to a living delta.

Route & Itinerary
Godkhali → Gosaba → Dayapur → Pakhiralay → Sajnekhali → Pirkhali → Sudhanyakhali → Bidya River System → Matla River → Godkhali
The final route may change according to tides, weather, navigation conditions, forest regulations and local operating conditions.
Enter the delta — Godkhali → Gosaba → Dayapur → Pakhiralay; cross into the island landscape, follow the tidal waterways and village life
Into the mangroves — Sajnekhali, Pirkhali & Sudhanyakhali; tidal creeks, forest-facing waterways and extended delta time
Follow the open water — the Matla River back to Godkhali; wide horizons, birds and occasional aquatic wildlife
Wildlife
Wildlife is part of the landscape, not the main focus — chital deer along forest edges, estuarine crocodiles and water monitors in tidal waterways, kingfishers, Brahminy kites, herons and egrets across the mangroves, and occasional Gangetic and Irrawaddy dolphins. The Sundarbans is Royal Bengal Tiger habitat, but sightings are rare and never guaranteed.
The CEO of the Sundarbans. Meetings are by invitation only.
The forest's gentle wanderer. Always alert, always elegant.
The ancient mariner. Older than your great-great-grandfather's stories.
The ghost of the mangroves. Rarely seen, never forgotten.
The silent guardian. Respect is the only safe distance.
