A network of habitats
The journey follows a carefully selected set of habitats rather than a single birding location, so you see how the delta changes from one waterway to the next.

Signature Expedition
A specialist five-day journey through the bird-rich forests, creeks and tidal landscapes of the Indian Sundarbans — built for those who want to slow down, read the habitat, and photograph the delta without disturbing its rhythm.
Why travel with us
The route follows forest edges, tidal creeks, mudflats and mangrove waterways, so you understand where birds live rather than only ticking a list.
Patient field sessions built around behaviour, tides and natural light, not a rush between landmarks.
A dedicated boat and expedition team for your group alone, paced around the field and the tide.
The expedition
We don’t sell tours; we offer an experience of how the Sundarban should be explored.
This is a specialist Sundarban birding expedition built around habitat variety and field observation. Rather than moving quickly between major landmarks, the route follows forest edges, tidal creeks, freshwater-influenced habitats, mudflats, riverbanks, mangrove waterways, watchtower observation points and quieter interior channels.
From Burir Dabri and Jhingekhali to Khatuajhuri Khal, Balkhali Khal and Harikhali, and from Dobanki to Pirkhali, Gazikhali and Sarakkhali, each stage introduces a different environment. The same forest can look completely different from one waterway to the next.
The objective is not to collect a checklist. It is to watch, to listen, to understand, and to wait for the right moment.
Some encounters may be dramatic. Others last only a few seconds. The value is being there when they happen.
The Wild Orbit difference
The journey follows a carefully selected set of habitats rather than a single birding location, so you see how the delta changes from one waterway to the next.
Your leader connects individual sightings to the wider ecology — the bird, the habitat, the tide and the light, together.
Time and positioning for bird-in-habitat, behavioural, landscape, macro and atmospheric photography.
Respectful distances, no playback, and habitat protection before any photograph.
